I found out how to enable the mouse's high-resolution scrolling mode, also known as "smooth scrolling." Lifting the mouse and scrolling it doesn't register for about half a second. I'm on High Sierra and tried Logitech's Chrome extension and didn't really notice a difference. Must be something that you do different from me. The reason I'm not using that is because I need to disable it as if I don't, I can't use the scroll wheel when I'm in my VMware Workstation Player virtual machine. Now I will see that Eclipse has no smooth scrolling :'<Really?
Google says there's some other Logitech mouses that have a smooth scroll option in their software, but the MX Ergo does not. I hope you will help me as I will be very thankful.

You could probably adapt this code to work with your own software, or even write a utility that will let you force high-precision mode for other programs.But for any sizable area, especially ones the size of your screen, I much prefer the scrolling to be instant.I find it works well if the area to be scrolled is small vertically, as instant scrolling can lead to disorientation with so few items to use as a landmark.Using mac(book) fulltime here, and I definitely find smooth scrolling to be much better.
