Plan to get your feet wet if there has been any rain in the previous days, as there are 2 areas you must walk through a drainage tunnel under I 83. When you cross the highway go up the road to the water pumping plant. They will take you to the boat docks and beyond. I ended up getting lost right here so I wont tell anybody wht to do from now on. Lake Redman - Trail, York, Pennsylvania. Two tunnels to cross under the interstate. You have to go through a long tunnel under the highway that is low and has water in. A great trail for seasoned or novice hikers. Low traffic but alot of traffic noise.Trail has varied elevation but there are no scrambles. Lake Redman Loop is a 8.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near York, Pennsylvania that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. Thought I was lost a few times. Not too bad, but different.One of my favorite areas to ride bike or hike. It is an enjoyable trail, and I would like to do the whole thing. follow this and youll come out by the damn. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Do not rely on how well the trail is maintained to judge your direction.Def not marked. Be mindful of spiderwebs.Great trail system. Nice long hike!Lovely in all seasons, not too trafficked as to be annoying but there's almost always someone out there.
***Trails have changed. Some really steep hills though and mud! Gas motors may not be used. Part of the trail uses a currently closed road to cross the reservoir. Tons of honeysuckle and lots of birds. All with great wildlife and lakeside views.loop 1,1a, and what should be marked 1b. Cross the st. and go down this trail. ATTENTION: Section 1 is still closed; park ranger stopped me right in my tracks. Yes trail #1 is currently closed but 200 yards heading south on George Street and you can pick up trails on the left. I would recommend this trail if someone want a quick hike without too much difficulty. The other sections are beautiful and well marked. They are not slippery and the water doesn’t exceed 6” (it’s been a rainy week). Not blazed, so best to use the app to follow the route. Not much for wildlife, but I'll take that, too. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Muddy and slippery even with good tread. Also, there were nice views, great shade on a sunny day, and I saw turtles. The loop around the lakes still circles both lakes. tunnels were fun Not marked the best.trail 7 is no joke. Little over 8 miles. Ended at 9.9 miles instead of 8.8 due to the trail being poorly marked in multiple areas. Overall a fairly nice trail. The only difficulty I can think of is walking up and down some sizable hills, but it's not 'rocky'.Turn off your ad blocker to see a map of this trailthe trail took about 5 hours for me with a few mishaps. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. The trail itself made up the difference.
