There are 5 sets of tees that play to distances and slopes measuring 7219 yards/144 slope, 6782 yards/136 slope, 6363 yards/125 slope , 5974 yards/129 slope for women and 5384 yards with a slope of 123 for ladies hitting from the forward sets. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially considering we were guests at a semi-private club. This course is a little more forgiving off of the tee than say Troon or Quintero, but that maybe even added to the appeal as we did not spend much time looking for balls.

It is now open for public play during the completion of the renovation process. We will golf here on each of our trips to the area.I'm falling in love with this course.The layout is approachable and scorable, the conditioning is amazing, amenties are great, and the pace is typically good. The 18-hole "Verde River" course at the Verde River Golf & Social Club facility in Rio Verde, Arizona features 7,219 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. On many of the par fours and fives, these hazards create more of a challenge than the surrounding desert. There are frequent carries off the tee, but most are very reasonable in length, and there is generally ample room for slightly offline tee shots.
With no particular design style mandated, Ken prefers to let the terrain dictate the characteristics of each given project, providing for it's own persona. We teed as a twosome at 8:30 and never saw another group all day. Additionally, pin placement sheets dividing the greens into 3 sections are posted.The putting surfaces themselves are quite challenging, with a variety of fairly level and undulating turf... many with crowned edges.
