In the first year, I spent a lot of my time focused on marketing, development, and operations because we are a small school without a lot of staff. I didn’t want that for Alexander, I wanted him to have a global perspective. For all of us that question begins with what we can do to keep ourselves and those around us safe and healthy. On the one hand, the new approaches to teacher evaluation fit with long-standing concerns about the efficiency of education as well as with the development of new technologies, new approaches to data use, and interest in performance accountability among leaders in business, government and other fields. As a consequence, computer science education was one initiative on which many could agree.
