Or at least, it’s the best mouse that I’ve ever used. If I scroll up, and accidently scroll back a tiny bit when lifting my finger, the software seems to compensate for that and substracts the downscrolls from the upscrolls.I also noticed it has something to do with speed; very quickly scrolling up and down will 100% result in some missed lines, but pausing half a second between every scroll seems to work better.But yeah, I have to say I'm kinda disappointed, as it seemed to be such a premium product that everyone praises to heaven and back. If i scroll down (or scroll up too.) Issue. or do i have a defective unit? But the buttons seem to have one problem or the other. I only see Smooth Scrolling? Plus I have a problem with noise coming from scroll wheel if I adjust Smartshift just few increment to the right...I'm also experiencing the issue. In parallel I have also a Logitech G602. I've been using my MX Master 3 mouse via Bluetooth on my old Windows 7 and new Windows 10 laptops and I've been experiencing persistent random issues with the special function buttons since I bought this mouse November 2019.

The main mouse functions always work great (tracking, left / right buttons, up/down scroll wheel). I initially thought it was an intermittent problem but realized right now that if I scroll simultaneously and lift the mouse up and down from the table (so that the laser becomes active / inactive) it will stop scrolling just when it will go inactive for the second time.If I lift the mouse from the table and scroll while holding it in the air, it works fine...Maby a "battery save feature" thats bugged? This is annoying! Doubt that it can be fixed with a firmware update. I would say around 3-5% of the time i scroll the wheel, nothing happens and i have to scroll again to get it to pick up. I tried two different units and had to return both and go back to my MX Master 2s. It seems the Calendar app is a great way to reproduce the issue, when trying to scroll up/down. It just completely ignores my scrolling unless I do it either super slow or super fast. The normal mouse connectivity and operations like clicking and scrolling work well always. It then catches up and scrolls the page to compensate for the unresponsive turns leaving it in a random place. You did however resolve my major concern with the scroll wheel - whenever a new window would pop out of my browser, there was a 1-2 second hesitation before being able to scroll. My MX Master 3 mouse scrolling is inconsistent and frustrating. Or at least, it’s the best mouse that I’ve ever used. With 3 I notice if you scroll few times fast, only one scroll action is registered, sometimes not even one. It occurs in both ratchet and free spin mode, with smooth scrolling enabled or disabled.
