I am very happy I went on this tour. however you were only able to get off in Monterosa for one hour. The boat ride was great, so happy the weather was good and it didn’t get canceled. It might be nice to reach the town by ferry, this way you could also make a stop in Palmaria, the little Island in front of Portovenere.La Spezia has many museums but this one is for sure one of its kind. The train ticket was usable after the tour so that we stayed longer to visit.

You can do this tour if you are coming on a cruise. However, it was beautiful and the boat ride was great! By the time we walked up and found a spot for lunch we were really only left with 10 or 15 minutes of sightseeing. She loves traveling to meet new people and cultures but she is also really interested in food and wine. It’s a little village located between the city center and the Cinque Terre National Park with plenty of colors and things to see: the Doria castle, the old town, the Byron cave and of course the St. Peter’s Church standing on the rocks.
