Seats 1-4A are the best for single travelers, whereas seats C&D are better for couples.

A friend just flew one (bizjet configuration) from JFK to London last night, no sweat. Compare that to American’s new A321s, which have a total of 181 seats, only 16 of which are are first class seats (~9% of the plane). My one point of frustration is that American doesn’t have power outlets on these planes, but then again, they don’t on most of their A321s either, so… On many international flights, a video is played before landing in the U.S., which highlights the immigration process for arriving passengers. A lot has changed with American’s entertainment the past few years so I will not go into what used to be but rather what is today. My background includes military flying, Airbus, Boeing and McDonnell Douglas as well, but I can’t say enough good about the fine folks that made the 170/175/190/195 family of airliners. This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). I don’t like to be surprised when I fly, so this gives me an idea of what to expect on my upcoming flight from SAN to SEA.

For two hours I can relax in that comfortable seat, enjoy my bloody mary, and just stare out at that explosion of color. I agree, it’s a great jet. American Airlines First Class on the E-175 has 12 recliner seats in a 1-2 configuration, so if you're flying solo as I was, I recommend seat 2A or 3A. I have never felt comfortable on an E145, even for a sub-hour flight in Europe. Also, I concur with @Matty – the back of an E145 tends to be very noisy, especially during takeoff. All Austral’s (Aerolineas Argentinas shuttle) jets are Embraer have USB outlets in here seat and a huge screen. It is a three hour flight and I am absolutely terrified of small planes and typically on this flight I am put on a much larger plane. It wasn’t that long ago when the only option was small, noisy prop planes with tiny bins and seats. Grrrr! As someone who loves looking out the window but also likes having access to the aisle, this is something I really value.

and with Luxair (which, incidentally, is just finishing phasing them out in favor of Q400’s), and each time I found the overhead space way too small (and I’m only 5’9”!! Was quite terrifying but still love the aircraft.jan 4th I flew amm to cai and loved the 1-2 – loved flying this suckerLove the E175 but not AA’s version of it.
