Buy what you can afford, 3700x will last you a long time.Here is my 2700x benches for comparison with 3700x that I made earlier today.The 3700x has plenty of headroom to grow into for gaming. If you can make the price jump then I think the 3700x is more worthwhile, especially when it comes time for a new GPU purchase.Very interesting. and I'm planning on buying the 2700 if RAM prices go down. I'd go with the R5 3600 if you plan on gaming with some streaming, save some money. Share on pocket. My computer is mostly used for gaming and I would like to start streaming as well. 2700X if you are to use all of its 16 threads, or else 3600 for the same money. The 2700X can be had used on eBay for around $180, or new from retailers like NewEgg, or Amazon for around $250.

I will only need a mobo to it and some discrete GPU with a low price. However, I just looked and the 2700X is now $240 vs. the 3700X at $330.

Hello, I'm building a new machine and decided on the AMD Ryzen 3700X. The 3700X is a $320 USD 8-core, 16-thread mid-range Ryzen 3000 series CPU. Very little to offer for $50 more. The 3700X has an MSRP of $329, and as of the time of writing, a mere 3 days after launch, there are no sales on this CPU and don’t expect there to be any time soon.

1 year ago. The 3700X was still 9% faster than the 2700X, so we see recurrently how 3rd-gen Ryzen series is a good step forward when it comes to gaming.
I missed the black friday/cyber monday sales, but I am Canadian so they should go on sale again on boxing day.
