We spent 7 hours walking and having a good time. Parking lot was full when we left. If you park along road the trail is to the right of bridge. Beautiful views up top, and plenty of dispersed camping if you take a right at the top. Then follow the Highline Trail and this is a steep climb with lots of ups and downs, where the most of elevation gain. Though short in distance, this trail is steep and straight downhill. You can take the trail up away from the creek or get down closer for more of a trudge but with a view of the creek. The views are nice, but not worth the hike up. Here the trail turns right and begins a short half-mile climb to Horton Spring. Hike to Horton Springs on the Mogollon Rim in Arizona. Parking gets packed.Very popular trail! You'll also find some great local park options, like Phoenix Park. Some trails or park services may be closed this weekend so check with local authorities before heading out. After 4 miles both running alongside the creek and through inclining switchbacks, you reach Horton Springs, which includes some sturdy logs for creek crossing and larger waterfalls than I've seen in many parts of AZ. Would recommend!Make sure you get there early. Strava has the elevation gain at about 1400ft vs 2400 it says on the app but it’s a true 8 miler to the top and back.
