Large canyon walls and forestry surround the lake. As before, Jared was kind and most helpful. We very much enjoyed our experience and the exceptional, friendly service. Jared is very accommodating and helpful. It isn't a convenient place to go for newcomers. Ok for cars but not good for motorhomes. Directions: Lake Pleasant is located 15 miles west of I-17 (Black Canyon Freeway) on Carefree Highway (State Route 74) 30 miles north of Phoenix. Resources: I don't know what the engineers were thinking when they designed the grade of the road. It was confusing driving by and if you don't stop to read the small signs you'll miss where you might want to go. It’s actually an artificial lake created by the Carl Pleasant Dam in the 1920s and like other artificial reservoirs, it has cliffs on the side and canyons that are ideal for kayaks and canoes.
From swimming, fishing, down to simply witnessing the lake's grandeur, all of these things will surely give you fun and excitement.
We didn't stay. We would highly recommend Go Kayak Arizona to anyone looking for something fun and affordable.I've been here a few times now and have enjoyed it very much. The best part about paddling on lakes is how easy and accessible it is for all skill levels. Picturesque Crystal Lake is one of the best places to kayak in Michigan with plenty of resorts and other recreation nearby. He again seemed easily able to assess our varying abilities and suggested a route to follow that was absolutely perfect for us.

When you are in Lake Tahoe, there are a lot of things that you would want to do. The man in space 71 lives there 7 months out of the year and this last season was the worst.

The best lake areas have been sold out to private members, this means the best beach areas and convenient access areas are accessible by codes only. In the newer paved section we found it a bit difficult to drive the motorhome onto the site pad due to steep entrance off the road. The beaches are rocky, and geared mainly for motorsports, The lake is pretty and the mountains are covered in cacti which is fun to see. My girlfriends and I have become regulars here. I noticed there are lots of old camp fire rings around. There is hiking and biking available and of course boating.
