However, to date there is no comprehensive, easy to use, and inexpensive solution for routine cell counting, and this procedure usually needs to be performed manually.
The analyze tool is indeed only counting the cells in the shape, so why is the area (in the results summary) different in different slices?
Select the type you want to count, and count by clicking on the feature in the image. This approach is approximately 10 times faster and yields more reliable and consistent results compared with manual counting. ImageJ.
